On 11th April dancers from four different countries, India (Mr. Santosh Menon), Kazakstan (Ms. Oxana Banshikova), Japan (Ms Naoko Kawai) and France (Ms Laurence Markens), gave an enthralling performance of Indian classical dances in the auditorium of the French International School, Hongkong where Ms Laurence a long time well wisher of Udavum Karangal works. Her colleagues and friends had prepared delicious food which was sold on the occasion. The auditorium was filled to capacity and an amount of Thirty six thousand Hongkong dollars was collected as donation.

A moving documentary on Udavum Karangal was screened before the dance recital. The Consul General of India in Hong Kong, Mr. L.D Ralte honored the evening with his august presence. At the end of the show, Ms Laurence gave a moving speech, thanking each and every one for rendering their support for a worthwhile cause.  She emphasized the fact that if were more people like Mr. Vidyaakar, the world would be a much better place to live in. Everybody greatly appreciated the initiative and also the program which had been carefully planned and executed. The whole program ended with a feeling of nostalgia and one could not help feeling that the world had come together for a worthy cause.
